Cathy Jo Johnson

Director of Golf & PGA / LPGA MemberCathy Jo Johnson

CJ grew up in Northern Michigan and her mom gave CJ her first set of clubs at the age of five. CJ started working in the golf business in the early 80s and turned professional in 1989. She is a member of both the LPGA and the PGA of America. Throughout her golf career, CJ has received many awards. In 2000 she was named the national LPGA Professional of the Year, one of the highest honors the LPGA has ever given to a golf professional involved in the entire golf operation. The Wisconsin PGA awarded CJ the Bill Strausbaugh award in 2002 for her involvement in mentoring other professionals and contributions to the association and community and again in 2005 with the Horton Smith Award for developing and improving educational opportunities for fellow PGA professionals. She has also been named one of the Top 25 most influential minorities in golf in Wisconsin and was named to the Wisconsin Business Journal’s 40 under 40. She still loves this great game and was a two-time winner of the Wisconsin Women’s State Open. CJ and her husband John (also a golf professional) relocated to Incline Village in April 2005. “It is the perfect place to combine my passion for golf with my love of skiing and the outdoors. The golf courses are amazing tests of golf in a breathtaking setting. The residents make the community an amazing place to live, work or vacation.”
