Director of Golf Operations

 

Charlie comes to IVGID after 7 years as the Director of Golf at the May River Golf Club at Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina. He was employed by Napa Valley’s world-renowned Auberge Resorts and during his time there the golf course and resort hotel, The Inn at Palmetto Bluff, received several national awards. In 2010, The Inn was named the "#1 resort in North America" and "#1 in Service" by the readers of Travel & Leisure. The golf course was ranked as the" #2 Golf Community in the US" by Travel & Leisure Golf and was ranked "#4 Best Golf Course in the State." Under his leadership, his golf shops were recognized as one of the "Top 100 Shops" four times in South Carolina and four times in Texas. Prior to South Carolina, Charlie worked for the Hyatt Corporation for 13 years at several of their resorts, including San Antonio, Aruba and Kauai, Hawaii. Charlie has also had the opportunity to learn the golf swing from some of golf’s top instructors. He has spent many hours learning swing mechanics from friend, Hank Haney and taught alongside Jim Hardy and Stan Utley. Charlie is married, has three children, and has been a PGA of America member since 1993.

Head Golf Professional Championship Course

Michael McCloskey joined The Golf Courses at Incline Village as the Assistant Golf Professional/Tournament Coordinator in 2008 and in 2012 was promoted to the Head Golf Professional of the Championship Course.  Michael grew up in Los Alamos, NM.  Michael’s father, also a PGA Golf Professional, introduced Michael to the game of golf at a very early age.  Michael competed in Golf Tournaments at the highest level both on the state and national ranks up to College. In 2003, Michael enrolled into the prestigious New Mexico State University PGA Professional Golf Management Program.  Michael graduated in 2008 from NMSU with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a focus in Professional Golf Management.  Michael was fortunate enough to obtain a multitude of work experience through his PGA Internship opportunities.  His Internships included being an Assistant Golf Professional at the private Grey Rock Golf Club in Austin, TX; Student Director of the NMSU Nike Junior Golf Schools; and Assistant Golf Professional at the Towa Golf Resort.  Michael has extensive knowledge in operations, customer service, teaching, club fitting, and management. Michael received his PGA Class A in 2008 after he completed his final internship after College right here at The Golf Courses at Incline Village.  Michael is a resident of Incline Village along with his beautiful wife Mariah.

Jeff Clouthier

Jeff Clouthier, CGCS

Golf Course Superintendent, Championship Course

Jeff is a native of Littleton, CO and is married with two sons.  He has been the grounds superintendent of the Golf Courses at Incline Village since June 2001. Before joining us, he was the golf course superintendent in Logan, Utah and Highlands Ranch, CO, where he also served as the construction superintendent on a new course (in Highlands Ranch).  Jeff has been in the golf maintenance business for 20 years, 17 of those as a superintendent. He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming, he has a certificate from the Cornell University Turfgrass Management Short Course, and has taken over 20 seminars through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He earned the prestigious designation of "Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS)" from the GCSAA in 1999. His various awards include the 2006 "GCSAA Environmental Leaders in Golf" award and the "GCSAA Environmental Achievement Certification in Golf Course Development." Jeff also has served on the board of directors of the Sierra Nevada Golf Course Superintendents Association and the Intermountain Golf Course Superintendents Association.

  

 

Robyn Crabill, Head Golf Pro, Mountain CourseRobyn Crabill

Head Golf Professional, Mountain Course

Robyn Crabill is a PGA class A Member who will be taking on The role as Head Golf Professional at The Mountain Course at Incline Village. She is coming from Scottsdale Arizona where she worked as a golf professional for 10 years. After double majoring in Business Management and Commercial Recreation and graduating Cum Laude, she landed her first job as an Assistant Golf Professional at Rio Verde Country Club. After 2 years she was asked to be the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at The Rim Golf Club in Payson AZ where she had opportunities to develop the ladies golf programs and provided buying and merchandising services. Longing to be back in the Scottsdale sun Robyn landed another 1st Assistant job at FireRock Country Club. This where Robyn really learned her role as a manager and team leader. She mastered tournament operations and excelled at improving existing programs. Since then Robyn has been working as The First Assistant Golf Professional at Mesa Country Club where she has been heading up the Women Golf Association. It has always been her goal to someday become the Head Pro. Other special interests include Snow Boarding, bowling, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family.

 

Shaun RileyShaun Riley

Golf Course Superintendent, Mountain Course

Shaun was born and raised in upstate New York and is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He attended SUNY Plattsburgh and studied Physical Geography before moving to Colorado in 1983. He began his golf maintenance career at Pole Creek Golf Course in Fraser, CO as a crew foreman/irrigation tech. In 1990 Shaun was hired as the assistant superintendent at the Mountain Course and was promoted to superintendent of the Mountain Course in 1996. He has been a member of the GCSAA for 17 years, 12 of which he has been a Class A Superintendent. Shaun is excellent at balancing golf course maintenance with environmental stewardship, and one of his proudest accomplishments is the designation of the Mountain Course as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" in 2004. The Mountain Course was the third course in Nevada and 498th worldwide to achieve this designation.
